Kids MMA and youth martial arts training at Draco Fight Camp in Hua Hin, Thailand

Youth Mixed Martial Arts in Hua Hin

Our Kids MMA program at Draco Fight Camp is part of our wider MMA program and is designed to create well-rounded young athletes. By integrating the fundamentals of striking, wrestling, and ground control, we help children develop elite-level coordination and physical literacy.

We focus on "technical intelligence" rather than brute force. Our sessions in the Nong Kae countryside provide a structured path for kids to learn self-discipline and problem-solving through the lens of modern combat sports. Adults training alongside their children can explore our MMA Striking or MMA Grappling sessions. Prefer a grappling-only path for your child? Explore our Kids BJJ program.

Is MMA safe for children?

arrow

Absolutely. Our youth program is strictly non-contact to the head and focuses on technical execution and "play-wrestling" dynamics. We prioritize a safe, injury-free environment supervised by professional instructors.

What age can my child start MMA?

arrow

We generally welcome students from ages 7 and up for our MMA program. At this age, children have the coordination required to begin integrating different martial arts styles effectively.

What equipment do they need?

arrow

For a trial class, standard sports wear is fine. For regular training, we recommend a mouthguard and MMA-specific gloves. We can help you find the right youth-sized gear at the gym.

Does MMA help with bullying?

arrow

MMA provides a massive boost in confidence and physical capability. By learning functional self-defense, children often carry themselves with more assurance, which is the most effective deterrent to bullying.
